Wildlife photography

The Pantanal is one of the best places in the world to photograph wildlife, scenery and sunsets. Our guides know the best locations and will wait patiently with you for the right light.

Birdwatching

Even in the rainy season the number of birds is impressive. Our guides recognise most species by their calls. Add Chapada dos Guimarães for cerrado species you won't find in the Pantanal.

Waterfall in Chapada dos Guimarães

Chapada dos Guimarães

A national park on the edge of the Brazilian plateau, created in 1989, with sandstone cliffs, viewpoints over the plains and many waterfalls, including the Véu de Noiva. It also has more than 50 archaeological sites with prehistoric rock paintings.

Palm trees reflected in clear water at Bom Jardim

Bom Jardim

A small village in Nobres, 120 km from Cuiabá, known for crystal-clear rivers for snorkelling, waterfalls and caves in the Serra do Tombador, and the Blue Lagoon.

Short on time

One-day tour

A single day in the Pantanal, without an overnight stay.

  1. Day 1

    A day on the Transpantaneira

One of our guides picks you up at your Cuiabá hotel at 7 am. We drive 100 km to Poconé and onto the Transpantaneira, stopping often for wildlife, and reach a lodge for lunch. Then two hours on the river by boat, looking for cormorants, anhingas, terns, kingfishers, hawks and, with some luck, mammals along the banks. Back in Cuiabá around 4 pm.
